Do you really wish to be a kid again?

“I wish I were a kid, as then my life would have been so easy”. Most of the adults think like that. They want to be kids again and live a life with no responsibilities. For most office goers the day starts like this,
·         Get up early in the morning and get ready for the office
·         If you are a working woman then prepare breakfast and lunch.
·         Pack your lunch and have breakfast.
·         Leave for the office.
·         Do usual work at the office (Take some tensions, curse office and the colleagues who sabotaged your career, finish all the pending work, get involved in some grapevine communication…….)
·         Leave for home.
·         Prepare and have dinner.
·         Go to bed.
All of the above tasks look like herculean tasks. It feels as if the entire fun element goes away once you grow up. You are barred from committing mistakes and nobody gives a damn to your tantrums. It feels as if the nervous system will break down with all the tensions in the life. And then you secretly wish if you were a kid then all your tensions will go away. But the question is, “Do you really wish to be a kid?”
Let us throw some light on the easy and comfortable life of a kid. They can do whatever they want, get lot s of pampering, throw tantrums and so much. They don’t have to think about career, money, family etc. but themselves. Now let us see how the day of a kid starts:
·         Get up early in the morning and early means way early ( 5 am L)
·         Get ready for the school.
·         Have breakfast and leave for the school.
·         Attend school ( attend morning prayer followed by rigorous exercise, endure boring classes, take surprise tests, celebrate when teacher is on leave or mourn when substitute teacher arrives,….)
·         Leave for home.
·         Go for Karate classes.
·         Leave for home
·         Go for tuition classes
·         Leave for home
·         Go for singing/dancing/swimming/or any classes.
·         Leave for home
·         Complete homework
·         Watch T.V. and switch it off if mom or dad scolds for watching TV and not studying.
·         Study again.
·         Aspire to become a doctor or engineer or architect or anything great and start preparing for that.
·         Have dinner and go to sleep.
Whew!!!! Kids have such an easy life. Well, really???  Today, parents want their kids to be good at everything. They enroll them to various extracurricular activities and expect them to perform brilliantly in everything. Kids have become mechanical now. They live a life full of expectations .They are like robots with a chip which has all the programs encoded and they need to execute all of them successfully.
Now think again if you really wish to be a kid, because you might regret it later.
